1958-1966 Studied fine art at the Surikov Academy of Fine Arts in Moscow, Russia.
1966-1971 Earned a doctorate in art philosophy from Moscow, Russia.
1972 Contributed to the establishment of the Union of Arab Fine Artists.
1974 Participated in the UNESCO Cultural Forum on Architecture and Fine Arts in Hammamet, Tunisia.
1975-1983 Elected several times as vice-president of the Fine Arts Syndicate in Syria.
1976-2002 Held the position of vice dean of the College of Fine Arts for Administrative Affairs and then became a dean and head of the Painting Department.
2018 An exhibition titled "Homage to Artist Abdel Mannan Shamma" took place at the Arab Cultural Center in Abu Rummaneh, featuring the works of numerous artists.
2023 Honored and awarded the Shield of Creativity and Excellence by Damascus University.
He participated in many exhibitions inside Syria and abroad.
His works are displayed in the National Museum in Damascus, the Museum of Oriental Art in Moscow, and several private collections in Arab countries and around the world.
He currently resides and works in Damascus, Syria.
