1955 Artist Abdulameer Alwan was born in Karbala, Iraq.
1962 - 1972 He completed his primary, middle and secondary school studies in Karbala.
1970 He held an unofficial solo exhibition in Iraq.
1976 He held his first solo exhibition in the Media Department in Karbala.
1977 He held his second solo exhibition at the Artists Syndicate in Karbala.
1989 He held his third solo exhibition at the hall of the National Museum of Modern Art in Baghdad, and his fourth solo exhibition at the Hall of the Ministry of Culture in Baghdad.
1991 He held his fifth solo exhibition, entitled "Water Colors," at Al-Orfali Gallery in Baghdad.
1994 He held his sixth solo exhibition at Al-Alawiya Club Hall in Baghdad.
1998 He held his seventh solo exhibition at the Ana’a Hall in Baghdad.
2002 He held his eighth solo exhibition at the Ana’a Hall in Baghdad.
2003 He left Iraq and traveled to America to live there.
2005 He held his ninth solo exhibition at Dar Al Anda in Amman, Jordan.
2006 He held his tenth solo exhibition at Mayamin Hall in Amman.
2008 He held a solo exhibition at the United Nations building in New York, USA.
2011 He held a solo exhibition entitled "Young Christian Women".
2014 He participated in an exhibition of immigrants in Texas, the United States of America and won the AQD Prize for Literature, Art and Peace.
July 28, 2014 The artist passed away at the age of fifty-nine of a brain hemorrhage after undergoing surgery in a hospital in Dallas in Texas, USA, and his body was transported for burial in Iraq.
