20 August 1951 Artist Husam Abd Al-Muhsen was born in the capital, Baghdad, Iraq.
1958 - 1968 He completed his primary, middle and secondary school studies.
1972 - 1976 He studied and graduated from the Institute of Fine Arts in Baghdad and obtained a diploma.
1976 He participated in the third anniversary of the ruling party exhibition at the National Museum of Modern Art in Baghdad.
1977 He participated in the fourth anniversary of the ruling party exhibition at the National Museum of Modern Art in Baghdad.
1978 He participated in the fifth anniversary of the ruling party exhibition at the National Museum of Modern Art in Baghdad.
1978 - 1981 He studied and graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts at the University of Baghdad and obtained a Bachelor's degree.
1986 - 1988 He studied and graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts at the University of Baghdad and obtained a master's degree in plastic arts. Then he have been assigned as a teacher and researcher in fine arts in the University of Baghdad.
2000 He held a solo exhibition entitled "A Cold Autumn" at the Tigris Hall in Baghdad.
2003-2011 He was appointed Secretary of the Iraqi Plastic Artists Association in Baghdad.
2005 He obtained the title of professor at the Academy of Fine Arts at the University of Baghdad.
2015 He participated in the exhibition "Beirut - Baghdad ... A Message of Love" at the UNESCO Palace in Beirut, Lebanon.
2016 He held a solo exhibition of minitures entitled "I, the Moon and the Rain" at Hiwar Hall in Baghdad. He participated in the retrospective annual exhibition at the Iraqi Plastic Artists Association in Baghdad and the "Iraqi Painters" exhibition by the Iraqi Plastic Artists Association and the Lebanese Artists Association for Painting and Sculpture in Beirut.
2017 He held a solo exhibition entitled "Maqamat" at Zaman Hall in Beirut, Lebanon, and participated in the annual exhibition of the Iraqi Plastic Artists Association in Baghdad.
2018 He participated in the "Art of Words" exhibition and a workshop of Arab women artists in Istanbul.
He lives and works as a professor of fine arts in the Academy of Fine Arts at the University of Baghdad.
