  • 1945 Born in the city of Qalaat Saleh, Iraq.
  • 1966 Graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts at the University of Baghdad.
  • 1966 - 1970 Traveled to Ljubiana, Slovenia, to study at the Academy of Fine Arts, where he obtained a master's degree in graphic art.
  • 1971 Held his 1st solo exhibition at the National Museum of Modern Art in Baghdad.
  • 1972 Participated in the Iraqi Graphic Art Exhibition at Gallery Contact in Beirut, Lebanon.
  • 1974 Participated in the first Arab Biennale exhibition in Baghdad.
  • 1977 Participated in the fourth anniversary at the ruling party exhibition at the National Museum of Modern Art in Baghdad.
  • 1980 - 1984 Obtained a PhD in Fine Arts from the Federation Research Institute in Moscow, Russia.
  • 1980 - 2015 Held several solo exhibitions throughout Europe and Middle East.
  • 2020 Held a solo exhibition entitled "More Than One Biography" at Al-Orfali Gallery, in which 30 works were exhibited.
  • Wrote many books since the 1980s and moved to several countries, including Syria, Libya, Jordan, Tunisia and Norway.
  • Held several solo exhibitions and participated in many art exhibitions inside and outside Iraq.
  • Lives and works as a writer, writer, professor of arts and painter until now in Norway.
  • Member of the Iraqi Artists Association, the Federation of Norwegian Artists, the City of Art in Paris, and the Tunisian Artists Union.
