1937 Born in the city of Rawanduz in Erbil Governorate, northern Iraq.
1943-1954 Completed his elementary, middle, and high school studies.
1954-1957 Studied painting and graduated from the Fine Arts Institute in Baghdad.
1957-1961 Taught the art of drawing in the schools of Erbil.
1961-1967 Traveled to the Soviet Union, studied at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Moscow, graduated with a master's degree, and held three solo exhibitions in the Soviet Union during his stay there.
1968 Appointed as an inspector for art education in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for a short period.
1969 Participated in most of the annual exhibitions of the Iraqi Fine Artists Association and most art exhibitions inside and outside Iraq till he passed away.
1971 Held his fourth solo exhibition at the hall of the Iraqi National Museum of Modern Art in Baghdad and participated in the Contemporary Iraqi Art Exhibition in cooperation with the Iraqi Fine Artists Association in Kuwait.
1972 Participated in the first Al-Wasiti Festival in Baghdad and the Contemporary Iraqi Art Exhibition at the Hall of the Iraqi National Museum of Modern Art in Baghdad.
1974 Participated in the first Arab Biennial exhibition in Baghdad and the cultural festival of Al-Thawra newspaper in Baghdad.
1976 Held his fifth solo exhibition at the hall of the Kurdish Culture Association in Baghdad.
1977 Held his sixth solo exhibition in Erbil.
1979 Held his seventh solo exhibition at the hall of the Iraqi National Museum of Modern Art in Baghdad, where he displayed 30 works.
1981 Held his eighth solo exhibition entitled "Impressions of the World - Selections from the Artist's Paintings (1961-1981)" in Al-Riwaq Hall in Baghdad, in which 50 works were displayed.
1984 Held his ninth solo exhibition entitled "Selections from the Artist's Paintings (1961-1984)" in the hall of the Iraqi National Museum of Modern Art in Baghdad and participated in the Spring Exhibition at Al-Orfali Hall in Baghdad.
1986 Participated in the Baghdad International Festival for Fine Arts at the Center of Arts in Baghdad.
1989 Held his tenth solo exhibition, entitled "Symphony of the Mountain," at Al-Riwaq Hall in Baghdad and displayed about 150 works.
He wrote a book in Arabic entitled "The Art of Planning," and it was translated into the Kurdish language. Several books were translated from the Russian language into the Kurdish language, including: "Michelangelo," "Paul Gauguin" book and "Delacroix" book.
2004 Founded the College of Fine Arts in Erbil and obtained a Ph.D. from the University of Salahaddin in Erbil in philosophy of art, with distinction.
He worked as a painting teacher at the Institute of Fine Arts, the Academy of Fine Arts in Baghdad, and the University of Salahaddin in Erbil.
2009 Participated in an exhibition entitled "Iraqi Artists" in Amman.
October 17, 2009 Passed away in Erbil at the age of seventy-two.
