1940 Artist Ibrahim Al-Abdali was born in Baghdad – Iraq.
1946 - 1959 He completed his primary and secondary education in Baghdad schools. Then he was enrolled into the Academy of Fine Arts - University of Baghdad.
1965 He graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Iraq and later worked as a Teacher at the Institute of Fine Arts.
1966 - 1971 He taught in Jeddah, Taif and Dammam, Saudi Arabia.
1970 He participated in an exhibition in Dhahran at the Air France Hall in Saudi Arabia.
1972 He participated in the Contemporary Iraqi Art Exhibition at the Hall of the National Museum of Modern Art in Baghdad.
1973 He participated in the fifteenth exhibition of the Fine Artists Association in the Assembly Hall in Baghdad and the retrospective exhibition of Iraqi art in the hall of the National Museum of Modern Art in Baghdad.
1980 He obtained a Master’s Degree in Graphic Design from Manchester Polytechnic University, United Kingdom.
1980 - 1991 He taught at the Institute of Fine Arts, the Academy of Fine Arts, and the College of Engineering - Architecture Department in Baghdad as a professor of Visual Arts.
1982 He participated in the Contemporary Iraqi Art Exhibition in Jakarta and the Second Al-Wasiti Festival in Baghdad.
1986 He participated in the Baghdad International Biennale in Baghdad and the Baghdad International Festival for Visual Arts at the Saddam Art Center in Baghdad.
1994 He worked as a lecturer at the University of Petra in Jordan.
2000 He participated in the exhibition "Magic of Moments in Nature and Place" at Gallery Art in Baghdad.
2013 He participated in the contemporary Iraqi art exhibition at the Baghdad Forum for Visual Arts "We Color Baghdad with Love and Peace" in Baghdad.
2017 He held a solo exhibition, "Baghdad Through the Window" at Gallery Different in London.
Member of the Baghdad Group for Modern Art.
