1944 Iraqi Dutch painter and sculptor was born in Basra, Iraq.
1948 -1960 Completed his primary, middle, and high school studies in Basra, and since his childhood, he showed a fondness for drawing.
1962 - 1966 Obtained a diploma in fine arts from the Academy of Fine Arts, Baghdad.
1964 Held his 1st solo exhibition in Kuwait and participated in a graphic exhibition by four artists in Baghdad and a joint exhibition with a group of artists in Baghdad.
1968 Co-founded the Innovators Group in Baghdad and participated in all its exhibitions.
From 1969 onwards, held many solo exhibitions and participated in many group exhibitions in Iraq and abroad.
1971 Started his career as a professor in the Institute of Fine Arts, Baghdad.
1976 Earned a scholarship to complete his studies in Cairo, Egypt.
1980 Obtained a master’s degree in Graphic Design from Helwan University in Greater Cairo, Egypt. Then taught at the Academy of Fine Arts, Baghdad University.
1991 - 1996 Appointed as a professor of art at the Faculty of Fine Arts - Yarmouk University in Irbid, Jordan.
May 15th 2022 Held a retrospective exhibition at the Jordan Museum of Modern Art in Amman that exhibited 74 artworks covering his entire artistic career of more than six decades.
Currently lives and fully dedicated to his art between The Hague, The Netherlands and Amman, Jordan.
