  • 1963 Artist Ali Jabbar was born in Maysan Province, Iraq.
  • 1970 - 1980 He completed his elementary and middle school studies in Baghdad.
  • 1983 - 1987 He studied and graduated from the Institute of Fine Arts in Baghdad and obtained a Diploma in Painting.
  • 1984 He participated in the Iraqi Modern Art exhibition at the National Museum of Modern Art in Baghdad.
  • 1985 He participated in the Iraqi Modern Arts Festival in Baghdad and won the first prize in painting.
  • 1987 He participated in the Iraqi Modern Arts Festival in Baghdad and won the third prize in painting.
  • 1987 - 1990 He studied and graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts at the University of Baghdad, and obtained a BA in painting.
  • 1992 He left Iraq and traveled to Denmark to study and live. He studied at KKA School in Copenhagen and obtained a diploma in graphic design.
  • 1994 He held a solo exhibition at KM235 Gallery in Hamburg, Germany.
  • 1996 He participated in the Baghdad Group exhibition at the Citizen Culture House in Copenhagen.
  • 2000 He participated in the International Sculpture Symposium in Beirut, Lebanon.
  • 2002 He held a solo exhibition at the Torre Vella Museum in Salou, Spain.
  • 2005 He held a solo exhibition at the Herning Museum of Art in Herning, Denmark and participated in the Tehran International Biennale at the Tehran Museum of Contemporary Art in Tehran, Iran and the Dubai Symposium on Sculpture in Dubai, and won its first prize.
  • 2007 He participated in the Tehran International Symposium on Sculpture in Tehran and won its first prize.
  • 2010 He participated in the Painting Symposium in Normandy, France.
  • 2011 He held a solo exhibition at Hay Hill Gallery in London, United Kingdom, and a solo exhibition at Karim Gallery in Amman, Jordan.
  • 2013 He participated in the Contemporary Iraqi Art Exhibition at the Baghdad Forum for Fine Arts "We Color Baghdad with Love and Peace" in the Department of Fine Arts in Baghdad.
  • 2014 He participated in the Tehran International Symposium on Sculpture in Tehran and was a member of its jury.
  • 2015 He participated in the 10th International Biennale of Florence in Florence, Italy.
  • 2019 He participated in the exhibition "Contemporary Artists from Iraq" at Ras Al-Ain Gallery in Amman.
  • 2019 - 2020 He participated and curated the Tuwaiq International Sculpture Symposium in Riyadh and the Sculpture Symposium in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
  • He lectured at the Omani Arts Association and Arya Gallery in Tehran and taught fine art at a high school in Copenhagen.
  • He works full time in the art field, and based in London, United Kingdom.
