1957 Artist Haythem Hassan was born in Anbar Province, Iraq.
1964 - 1974 He completed his elementary, middle and high school studies in Anbar.
1976 - 1980 He studied and graduated from the Institute of Fine Arts in Baghdad and obtained a Diploma in Sculpture.
1980 He held a solo exhibition at the Institute of Fine Arts in Baghdad.
1983 - 1987 He studied and graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts at the University of Baghdad and obtained a BA in sculpture.
1986 He won the first prize for sculpture at the Contemporary Iraqi Art Exhibition and the second prize for sculpture at the Sixth Al-Wasiti Festival in Baghdad.
1987 He was awarded a diploma in Hungary's 7th International Festival for Miniatures in Hungary and won the Jewad Selim Gold Medal.
1988 He won the first prize for sculpture at the Seventh Al-Wasiti Festival in Baghdad, and a medal of appreciation from the Iraqi Artists Syndicate in Baghdad.
1992 He won the creativity prize from the Iraqi Artists Syndicate in Baghdad.
1993 He held a solo exhibition entitled "Returned Eternity" at Ain Hall in Baghdad and a solo exhibition entitled "Dreaming Bodies" at the Art Center in Baghdad, and won the gold award for sculpture at the Fifth International Babylon Festival.
1994 He held a solo exhibition entitled "Body Conversation" at Ebda’a Gallery in Baghdad and participated in an exhibition by four Iraqi artists at Abaad Gallery in Amman, Jordan.
1995 He participated in the founding exhibition of the Baghdad Group with three painters in addition to a sculptor.
1996 He held a solo exhibition entitled "The Bronze Garden" at Hiwar Hall in Baghdad and participated in an exhibition by four Iraqi artists at Gallery Chambel in Denmark.
1997 He participated in an exhibition by four Iraqi artists at the Foreigners Cultural House in Denmark and won the State Encouragement Prize for Arts in Sculpture by the Iraqi Ministry of Culture and received a certificate of appreciation from the First Arab Sculpture Forum in Jerash, Jordan.
1998 He held a solo exhibition entitled "Bronze" at Hiwar Hall in Baghdad.
1999 He participated in an exhibition of four contemporary sculptors at Al-Mezan Hall in Baghdad.
2004 He held a solo exhibition entitled "Homage to Ismail Fattah" at Dar Al-Anda in Amman.
2005 He participated in an exhibition of three artists at Dar Al-Anda in Amman.
2006 He held a solo exhibition at the Custo Showroom in Kuwait and participated in the Baghdad - Paris - Iraqi Artist exhibition at the Montparnasse Museum in Paris, France.
2006 He held a solo exhibition at Dar Kalimat Hall in Aleppo, Syria.
2007 He held a solo exhibition entitled "Models" at Dar Al Anda in Amman.
2009 He participated in the exhibition of Iraqi artist at Colorado State University in the United States of America and the exhibition of the Canadian Sculpture Center in Toronto, Canada.
2014 He participated in the Plastic Art Festival marking the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Iraqi Communist Party at a dialogue hall in Baghdad.
2016 He participated in the exhibition "Homage to to Saleh Al-Qar Ghuli - Iraqi Sculptors’ Chisels" at the Iraqi Plastic Artist Association in Baghdad
2019 He participated in the exhibition "Contemporary Artists from Iraq" at Ras Al-Ain Gallery in Amman.
He lives and dedicated to his art, between Baghdad and Amman.
