  • December 27, 1962 Artist Alwan Al-Alwan was born in the capital, Baghdad, Iraq.
  • 1967 - 1977 He completed his elementary, middle and high school studies in Baghdad.
  • 1980 - 1984 He studied and graduated from the Folk Heritage Institute.
  • 1995 - 1999 He studied and graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts at the University of Baghdad and obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts.
  • 1995 - 2003 He participated in the exhibitions of the Institute of Fine Arts in Baghdad.
  • 2000 He participated in the Contemporary Sculpture Exhibition at Hiwar Hall in Baghdad and won the Ismail Fattah Prize.
  • 2004 He participated in the Contemporary Art Exhibition in Aleppo, Syria.
  • 2005 He participated in the Contemporary Art Exhibition at Athar Gallery in Baghdad.
  • 2006 He participated in the exhibition of the British Embassy in Baghdad.
  • 2007 He held his first solo exhibition at Madarat Hall in Baghdad and participated in the creativity exhibition at Madarat Hall in Baghdad.
  • 2008 He participated in the "Riding Fire" Exhibition at the Ortica Gallery in London.
  • 2009 He participated in the exhibition of the German Embassy in Baghdad and won the prize for sculpture, "Humanitarian Beacons" in Baghdad.
  • 2010 He held his second solo exhibition at Dar Al Anda in Amman, Jordan, and participated in the exhibition of the German embassy in Baghdad, the exhibition of the Iraqi Art Institute in China, and a joint exhibition in Baghdad, Amman and Sydney, Australia and the Contemporary Art Exhibition at the Ortica Gallery in London.
  • 2012 He held his third solo exhibition entitled "Vanishing Blades" at Akkad Hall in Baghdad and participated in the Retrospective Festival Of Contemporary Iraqi Plastic Art on the occasion of the 78th anniversary of the founding of the Iraqi Communist Party at Akkad Hall in Baghdad.
  • 2013 He participated in the Contemporary Iraqi Art Exhibition at the Baghdad Forum for Fine Arts "We Color Baghdad with Love and Peace" in the Department of Fine Arts in Baghdad.
  • 2014 He participated in the Iraqi Art Exhibition at the Metz Museum in France.
  • 2015 He participated in the Sixth Beijing Biennale in China and the annual exhibition of the Iraqi Plastic Artists Association in Baghdad.
  • 2016 He held his fourth solo exhibition entitled "Untitled" at Dar Al-Anda in Amman, and participated in the annual exhibition of the Iraqi Plastic Artists Association in Baghdad and the exhibition "Greetings to Saleh Al-Qar Ghuli - Iraqi Sculptors’ Chisels" at the Iraqi Plastic Artist Association in Baghdad.
  • 2017 He held his fifth solo exhibition at Roua’a Hall in Amman and participated in the Seventh Beijing Biennale in China and the Iraqi Sculpture Exhibition in the Plastic Artists Association in Baghdad.
  • 2018 He held his sixth solo exhibition at the Businessmen Hall in Amman and participated in the workshop "Arab Women" at the Art of Words Exhibition in Istanbul, Turkey and the annual exhibition of the Iraqi Plastic Artists Association in Baghdad.
  • 2019 participated in the Eighth Beijing Biennale in China, the Iraqi Sculpture Exhibition at the Iraqi Plastic Artists Association in Baghdad, the exhibition "Contemporary Plastic Artists from Iraq" at the Ras Al-Ain Gallery in Amman, and the annual exhibition of the Iraqi Plastic Artists Association in Baghdad.
